Soyoung Kim

Pianist Soyoung Kim, is 23 year old from South Korea. She graduated from Yewon Arts School in 2007, then continued her musical studies at the Seoul Arts High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in piano performance from the Seoul National University under the tutelage of Ick Choo Moon. She has performed with the Bulgaria Pazarique Orchestra and the Romania Banatole Timissuelar Orchestra in Korea. She has also been awarded top prizes in many competitions including the Jefferson Symphony Concerto Competition, Nanpa Competition, Seoul Philharmonic Competition, World Daily Competition, Baroque Chamber Orchestra Competition, Sungjeong Competition, Suri Competition, and the Beethoven Competition in South Korea. She has most recently given a performance in Jordan Hall in Boston, and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree at the New England Conservatory, studying with Victor Rosenbaum.
