Biography
Mr. Myunghyun Kim is a 25 year old pianist residing in Berlin. He went to Yewon Arts school and Seoul Arts high school. After one year studying in high school he went to the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna in a class by Michael Krist. In January 2013 he successfully received a Diplom/Magister of Arts degree with honors and currently he is continuing his piano studies at Berlin University of the Arts in a class by Pascal Devoyon. He also gave many solo and chamber music recitals in South Korea, Austria, Italy, Germany and Belgium. He has been awarded prizes in many international competitions, including 1st prize in “Roma” international piano competition 2012, a nomination as a finalist in “Massarosa” international piano competition 2012, 3rd prize in “Elena Rombro Stepanow” piano competition in Vienna 2012, 1st prize in “Citta di Treviso” international competition 2013, 1st prize in “Don Vincenzo Vitti” international competition 2013 and 3rd prize and special prize in “André Dumortier” international piano competition in Belgium 2014 and most recently Mr. Kim has won a special prize in “Geneva” international competition 2015.
